Three team members from USA Truck (Nasdaq: USAK), a leading
transportation and logistics provider headquartered in Van Buren, Ark.,
have been honored with the Patriot Award from the Arkansas Employer
Support of the Guard and Reserve. ESGR, a Department of Defense
operational committee, recognizes extraordinary civilian support of
employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
Based on nominations from USA Truck team members currently serving our
nation, ESGR recognized Jaimey Malone (Vice President, Sales), Greg
Goodner (Director, Sales) and Eugene Barnes (Driver Manager). Jon
Woodham, Northwest Arkansas Area ESGR Chairperson, presented the awards
during a December assembly at USA Truck’s corporate headquarters.
USA Truck’s support extends far beyond the company’s distinctive bar and
star logo; it is also reflected in USA Truck’s partnership the Intrepid
Fallen Heroes Fund and its commitment to recruiting and hiring military
veterans.
“We are proud that nearly 25 percent our team members currently serve or
have served in our nation’s armed forces. USA Truck has always seen it
as our mission to support our patriot team members, and we welcome every
opportunity to recognize their service and sacrifice,” said Burton Weis,
Vice President of Human Resources for USA Truck.
ESGR has been dedicated to promoting Reserve Component Service members
and their civilian employers for more than 40 years. A network of more
than 4,700 volunteers across all 50 states supports ESGR.
